Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria is seeking a Manager, Editorial and Design to lead a large team delivering high-quality assessment materials for VCE examinations and related stakeholder communications.

You will manage end-to-end editorial and design services in a high-security environment, oversee budgets and resources, and provide authoritative advice to executive leadership while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Essential: significant relevant experience in project management.
• Essential: a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Desirable: editing or publication project management experience.
• Desirable: experience within education.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of editors and designers to deliver editorial and design services.
• Provide authoritative analysis and advice to support evidence-based decision-making.
• Prepare briefs, reports and documentation on complex matters for senior leaders.
• Manage budget, resources and timelines to ensure delivery within deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
