About the role

Reporting to the Head of Admissions and Student Systems, this managerial role is responsible for the direction, operational management and continuous improvement of the College's credit transfer, advanced standing, articulation and RPL processes.

You will lead a specialist function that ensures credit decisions are academically sound, student-centred, policy-compliant and aligned with sector best practice. Working closely with academic leaders, governance teams and external partners, you will play a key role in strengthening student pathways and supporting access to higher education.

Key responsibilities

• Lead UNSW College's Credit, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and articulation functions.
• Oversee and participate in the assessment of credit transfer, advanced standing and RPL applications, including complex cases.
• Develop and maintain credit and recognition policies, frameworks and processes.
• Manage articulation agreements and recognition arrangements with academic and external partners.
• Drive service excellence through effective team leadership, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Provide expert advice on qualification equivalencies, credit outcomes and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate credit precedents and articulation records to support consistent decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with academic, governance and external stakeholders to enhance student pathways.

You are a confident leader with strong analytical capability and a passion for creating accessible educational pathways.

You will bring:

• Significant experience in admissions, student administration, academic administration or a related function within tertiary education.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying complex policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of credit transfer, articulation, recognition of prior learning or academic progression processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching and developing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding student and stakeholder experiences.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement
