Join us in driving impactful change by transforming the NSW electricity system!

  • Salary range from $154,231 to $178,369 plus super and leave loading

EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping relationships between EnergyCo, local councils and communities across some of NSW's most significant renewable energy and infrastructure projects. As Manager, Council Interface & Relations, you will be the trusted link between project delivery teams, local government and key stakeholders, ensuring open communication, strong partnerships and positive outcomes for regional communities. Working at the front‑of‑the‑state's energy transformation, you will influence strategic decisions, manage complex stakeholder relationships and help maintain EnergyCo's social licence as major projects progress across Renewable Energy Zones.

About You

You are a natural relationship builder with a strong understanding of local government and how to engage effectively with councils, community groups and diverse stakeholders. You thrive in people-focused environments, enjoy building trust and credibility and can confidently navigate sensitive conversations while balancing competing priorities and expectations.

You are an exceptional communicator with highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Whether presenting to senior stakeholders, facilitating meetings or preparing briefing materials, you can translate complex information into clear, meaningful messages. While experience in infrastructure, energy or project environments is advantageous, your ability to engage, influence and foster strong stakeholder relationships is what will set you apart.

You will be comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving environments, navigating complex, emerging or unfamiliar information and quickly translating it into practical action. A fast learner with strong judgement and adaptability, you will bring a demonstrated track record of successfully applying systems-based approaches to manage complex issues, connect priorities and deliver outcomes. You understand how government, industry and communities interact and can work across these systems to build alignment, identify opportunities and achieve positive outcomes for both government and the community.

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • This role will require travel to regional locations, and occasionally the need to work outside of core business hours in the morning, evening and on weekends.
