Use your governance, risk and compliance oversight expertise managing the Transmission Acceleration Facility to contribute to the transformation of the NSW electricity system

  • Ongoing full-time (35 hours per week) plus FlexTime
  • Sydney CBD with hybrid working from home and office supported
  • Salary range from $154,231.00 base to $178,369.00 top plus super and leave loading

EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Transmission Acceleration Facility (TAF)

The TAF is a revolving capital facility with the purpose of accelerating the development of transmission infrastructure and other enabling projects required to meet the Roadmap objectives for affordable and reliable supply of energy. The TAF operates to bridge the gap between when costs are incurred by EnergyCo and when they are recovered from network operators. The TAF, governed by the TAF Investment Committee, is a $1.2-2.4 billion financing facilityestablished to enable fast tracking and de-risking the delivery of critical transmission infrastructure by providing revenue certainty for projects and investors. The TAF Investment Committee is a committee of the EnergyCo Board.

About the Opportunity

Our EnergyCo NSW Chief Operations Office is currently seeking to appoint the Manager Transmission Accelerations Facility (TAF) Coordination which supports the Corporate Secretary in delivering high-quality governance, risk and compliance oversight of the Transmission Acceleration Facility (TAF). The role manages the day-to-day governance operations of the TAF Investment Committee and ensures strong alignment between TAF funding decisions, EnergyCo’s strategic priorities and project implementation.

About You

You will bring experience in governance, secretariat, policy advisory or program management roles within a complex government or organisational environment. With a sound understanding of governance frameworks, committee operations and reporting processes, you can prepare high-quality briefing materials, minutes and advice that support informed decision‑making and effective governance outcomes.

You are a highly organised and collaborative professional with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You can translate complex regulatory, financial and project information into clear, practical advice, manage competing priorities and build effective relationships across all levels. Your attention to detail, sound judgement and commitment to quality ensure the timely delivery of committee outcomes and the consistent application of governance best practice.

Essential Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in public administration, policy, law, governance or related discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.

Who we are?

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
