Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (AHPRA registered) or Social Work (AASW).
Experience delivering forensic assessments and interventions.
Leadership within a multidisciplinary team in a secure/forensic environment.
Knowledge of evidence-based offender programs and behaviour change.
Experience supervising staff, managing performance and budgets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Cultural capability, particularly with Aboriginal communities.
Postgraduate qualifications in Forensic/Clinical Psychology or endorsements.
AASW accreditation (Supervisor/Clinical/Family Violence).
Formal leadership or management training.

The Department of Corrections (DOC) plays an important role in keeping our communities safe by helping break the cycle of crime, reduce reoffending and improve the lives of offenders through education, training and employment opportunities.

Under the newly developed Rehabilitation and Reintegration (R&R) Framework the Clinical Rehabilitation team requires a manager to lead our Clinical Rehabilitation team and support the team of psychologists, social workers and Aboriginal Program Facilitators to deliver offence related intensive treatment programs. This role plays a critical part in reducing re-offending and improving community safety through supporting the delivery of evidence-based rehabilitation programs within a custodial environment.

Key Responsibilities

About You
