Job summary

Western Health in Melbourne leads one of Victoria's largest Clinical Coding Services. This senior role directs strategic direction, operational management and ongoing improvement to ensure accurate coding, timely reporting and funding integrity.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive clinical documentation improvement, engage with clinicians and executives, and shape the future of coding through adopting digital health and data-driven initiatives.

About therole:

This is a significant leadership opportunity responsible for the strategic direction, operational management and continuous improvement of one of Victoria's largest Clinical Coding Services.

Leading a highly skilled workforce, you will ensure the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant clinical coding services that support patient care, activity-based funding, revenue integrity, statutory reporting and organisational performance.

Working closely with clinicians, executives and operational leaders, you will drive coding quality, clinical documentation improvement, workforce development and service innovation.

You will also play a key role in shaping the future of the service through the adoption and optimisation of contemporary coding technologies, digital health initiatives and data-driven improvement opportunities

You are a highly respected health information management or clinical coding professional with substantial leadership experience within a complex healthcare environment.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians, executives and external agencies.
