Job summary

SS&C Technologies is seeking a seasoned Citrix Ops Engineer to manage and optimize our Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environment, including DaaS, NetScaler, and Gateway services. The role requires deep troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced IT team.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Citrix experience, strong Windows Server and AD knowledge, and hands-on virtualization expertise with VMware or Hyper-V.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• 8+ years of Citrix design/implementation/maintenance experience.
• Strong Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and DaaS knowledge.
• Experience with NetScaler and Cloud Gateway.
• Solid Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge.
• VMware or Hyper-V virtualization experience.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Responsibilities

• Manage Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environments to ensure high availability.
• Support, configure, and maintain Citrix Gateway services and NetScalers.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and ensure recurrence prevention.
• Collaborate with IT support to resolve problems and improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and security best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in the Citrix environment.
• Create and maintain detailed Citrix environment documentation.

What You Will Bring:

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix environments.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environments, including Citrix DaaS.
• Strong understanding of Citrix NetScalers & Citrix Cloud Gateway Service.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
