Job summary

The opportunity

We're looking for a Manager-level Management Consultant with ideally 5-7 years of relevant experience, strong IT project management skills and experience working within Australian federal government departments.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently manage projects and contribute across business analysis, strategy and advisory. You'll be comfortable leading delivery, working directly with clients and getting into the detail to help solve problems.

You might be managing a project plan one day, facilitating a requirements workshop the next, or preparing an options paper to support a client decision. We're looking for someone adaptable, practical and willing to contribute wherever their skills can add value.

What You'll Do

What you'll bring

• Ideally 5-7 years of relevant experience across management consulting, IT project delivery or a combination of both.
• Demonstrated experience delivering IT or digital projects within Australian federal government departments.
• Hands-on project management capability, including managing competing priorities and resolving delivery issues.
• Experience contributing beyond project management, particularly in business analysis, strategy, advisory or business improvement.
• Clear communication and strong writing skills, with the ability to turn complex information into practical advice.
• Confidence working directly with clients, facilitating discussions and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Sound judgement about when to work independently and when to seek guidance or specialist input.
• A collaborative approach, curiosity and a willingness to take on varied work.

Relevant qualifications or certifications in project management, business analysis or a related discipline will be well regarded.

Essential Requirements

• Currently based in Canberra, ACT.
• Hold an active AGSVA security clearance at Baseline level or above.
• Available to work on-site with Canberra-based clients as required.
