Job summary

Monash Advisory Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks a Financial Accountant to join a consumer electronics and retail business on a 3-month temporary contract with the potential to go permanent. The role focuses on hands-on accounting, including AP, GL, bank reconciliations, and data integration, with Pronto ERP experience essential.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's in finance or accounting, CA/CPA is advantageous, and strong Excel/Xero skills to support the finance team during system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Pronto experience is essential.
• CA/CPA qualification advantageous.
• Experience with ERP systems; Pronto highly desirable.
• Proficient with Xero, XPM and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF).

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
• Follow up and process supplier claims.
• Manage new vendor account approvals and ongoing maintenance.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate stock variances.
• Investigate purchasing price variances and identify discrepancies.
• Investigate sales refunds and process payments.
• Complete cash sales reconciliations.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Support the finance team with day-to-day accounting activities.
• Assist with the integration and reconciliation of financial data across systems.

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join an established Australian-owned consumer electronics and retail business on an initial 3-month temporary contract , with the potential for a full-time opportunity following the contract.

This is a hands-on role suited to a finance professional with strong accounting experience and Pronto ERP knowledge who can hit the ground running and support the finance team through a period of system integration.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable invoices and reconcile supplier statements.

• Experience with an ERP system, with Pronto highly desirable.
• Experience using Xero, XPM and Microsoft Excel , including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and SUMIF.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
