Job summary

Strathfield South, Sydney NSW is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join an established Australian-owned consumer electronics and retail business on an initial 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for a full-time opportunity following the contract.

This hands-on role requires Pronto ERP knowledge, strong accounting experience and the ability to hit the ground running while supporting the finance team through system integration, vendor management, and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field.
• Pronto ERP experience is essential.
• CA/CPA qualification is advantageous.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP systems; Pronto is highly desirable.
• Experience using Xero, XPM and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
• Follow up and process supplier claims.
• Manage new vendor account approvals and ongoing maintenance.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate stock variances.
• Investigate purchasing price variances and identify discrepancies.
• Investigate sales refunds and process payments.
• Complete cash sales reconciliations.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Support the finance team with day-to-day accounting activities.
• Assist with integration and reconciliation of financial data across systems.

• Experience with an ERP system, with Pronto highly desirable.
• Experience using Xero, XPM and Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and SUMIF.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
