Management Accountant – Independent School

Location: North Shore, Sydney

Role: Full-time | Permanent

We are partnering with a highly regarded independent on Sydney’s North Shore to appoint a Management Accountant. This diverse and operational role supports the Business Manager and Chief Operating Officer across all areas of financial management, with a particular focus on payroll, budgeting, reporting, and analysis to guide decision-making and ensure compliance.

Key Highlights:

• Lead payroll oversight, including review, reporting, and cost analysis
• Deliver management accounts, reconciliations, and financial analysis to support leadership and Board reporting
• Support treasury functions, compliance, and annual audit processes
• Drive efficiencies, internal controls, and system improvements across the Business Office
• Contribute to the school’s community values and mission through professional service

About You:

• CPA/CA qualified (or working towards)
• Minimum 2+ years accounting experience with payroll oversight
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, ideally with Power BI or similar tools
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across academic and professional staff
• Experience in education or not-for-profit settings desirable
