Job summary

HammondCare is seeking a Management Accountant to join a small finance team in St Leonards. The role focuses on month-end and year-end financials, budgeting, forecasting, and capital projects within a not-for-profit aged care organisation.

You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the GM Finance in monthly and annual reporting. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years practical experience in a similar corporate role.
• Degree in relevant field.
• CPA or CA qualification or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Month-end and year-end financial and statutory accounting, prudential reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow planning, fixed assets and capital projects.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and end-of-year reports and improve procedures for efficiency.
• Coordinate with auditors and manage budget and forecasting processes.

Identify and act on improvements in current procedures to enhance efficiency and timely presentation of reports.Assist the GM Finance in preparing regulatory reporting (eg. Government acquittals).Manage the processing of general ledger journals, corporate allocations, reconciliation of operating system to general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.Liaise with the Corporate Finance Team and the external and internal auditors to assist in the audit and review processes.Support in the coordination and management of the annual budget and forecasting process, working with Business Managers and Accountants.Coordinate and manage revenue team, maintenance and updating settlement operating system for charges to subsidy and fee rates.Managing and supporting one direct reportWork closely with Finance Officers ensuring best possible client services, understand and apply Aged Care Regulations, debt management and recovery.About YouCommitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in ActionAt least 2-3 years practical experience in a similar corporate roleDegree in relevant fieldCPA or CA qualified or working towardsExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to a range of audiences, from senior executives to junior staffAbility to deal with internal and external stakeholdersStrong administrative and computer skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEmpathy and patienceDesirableExposure to the Aged Care Sector advantageousExperience working in a not-for-profit organisationExposure to SUN and Workday systems advantageousExperience with Workday Adaptive Planning is an advantageTo ApplyIf you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now!
