HammondCare in St Leonards, NSW is seeking a Management Accountant to join a small finance team. You will manage month-end and year-end accounting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow planning, fixed assets and capital projects, and provide general support for enabling portfolios.

The role offers hybrid work and the opportunity to contribute to a not-for-profit mission. With 2–3 years of relevant experience and a relevant degree, you should pursue CPA/CA accreditation where possible; you will

• Degree in relevant field.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Month-end and year-end accounting, prudential reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Cash flow planning, fixed assets and capital projects.
• Prepare regulatory and internal reports and assist audits.
• Manage general ledger journals and reconciliations.
• Coordinate annual budget and forecasting with managers.
• Lead one direct report and support the Finance Officers.

Identify and act on improvements in current procedures to enhance efficiency and timely presentation of reports.* Assist the GM Finance in preparing regulatory reporting (eg. Government acquittals).* Manage the processing of general ledger journals, corporate allocations, reconciliation of operating system to general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.* Liaise with the Corporate Finance Team and the external and internal auditors to assist in the audit and review processes.* Support in the coordination and management of the annual budget and forecasting process, working with Business Managers and Accountants.* Coordinate and manage revenue team, maintenance and updating settlement operating system for charges to subsidy and fee rates.* Managing and supporting one direct report* Work closely with Finance Officers ensuring best possible client services, understand and apply Aged Care Regulations, debt management and recovery. **About You** * Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action* At least 2-3 years practical experience in a similar corporate role* Degree in relevant field* CPA or CA qualified or working towards* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to a range of audiences, from senior executives to junior staff* Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders* Strong administrative and computer skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Empathy and patience **Desirable** * Exposure to the Aged Care Sector advantageous* Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation* Exposure to SUN and Workday systems advantageous* Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning is an advantage **To Apply** If you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now!
