You will have 5+ years in manufacturing/agribusiness finance, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred). This on-site role offers on-site parking and a focus on cost, process, and margin improvements.
Milne AgriGroup was established in 1910 and is a West Australian, family owned Company passionate about our products and a leader in the free‑range, fresh produce industry.
Milne Feeds is our stockfeed business and a cornerstone of the Group’s integrated supply chain. From our Welshpool mill, we manufacture bulk and bagged feed for producers across Western Australia, supported by a state‑wide depot and distribution network. It is a fast‑moving manufacturing environment where formulation, cost and productivity drive the result.
Milne Feeds is seeking a commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team.
The Senior Accountant is a critical role responsible for the end‑to‑end financial close and reporting for the mill and related entities. Reporting to the Deputy Group CFO, you will work closely with sales and operations, getting out on to the mill floor to understand the operation and what drives business performance, turning data into meaningful insights.
You will have strong technical skills that are complemented by an innate curiosity and excellent commercial acumen. With a drive for continuous improvement, aided by an in‑depth understanding of the business, you will identify opportunities and constructively challenge the status quo.
You will own the accurate production of the monthly P&L pack and work closely with business leaders to improve performance. You will be the person that the business relies upon to make sure that our costings, stock and margin are right.
Duties will include:
Minimum five years work experience, preferably within manufacturing, agribusiness, FMCG or a similar industrial sector, and at the same level of seniority.
Strong understanding of manufacturing, standard costing and inventory.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
A dynamic professional who welcomes and leads change in the organisation, with confidence and credibility to constructively challenge the status quo, question existing processes, propose better ways of working and hold the business to account for its performance.
A proactive, commercially minded business partner who spends time on site with production, logistics, engineering and sales, building trust with non-finance managers and works with them to drive performance.
Proven ability to manage high‑volume data and meet deadlines, including a five working day month end close.
Excellent attention to detail and strong cross‑functional communication skills within the leadership team, functional managers and peers.
Demonstrated experience with large ERP systems (Epicor preferred but not essential).
