Job summary

Webuild seeks an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead our Finance Team in Perth, overseeing financial accounting, reporting, and group consolidation to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and taxation laws.

You will mentor a team, coordinate audits, and drive month-end and year-end processes while partnering with stakeholders across the business in a flexible, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an Accounting Manager role within a large corporation.
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with a track record of translating complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict monthly, quarterly, and year-end deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, clear communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Tertiary qualifications.
  • CPA/CA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the company’s financial statements and accounting records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company policies, applicable accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead and oversee all local consolidation requirements.
  • Coordinate, review, and prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements, including supporting schedules and management reports.
  • Strengthen month end, year end and consolidation processes.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes, including Group reporting in accordance with Group reporting requirements, accounting policies, and established deadlines.
  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the general ledger and ensure all transactions are appropriately recorded, supported, and reconciled.
  • Improve controls, systems and financial governance.
  • Work closely with the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounting Manager to support the operation of the Finance function, and assist with supervision, training, and development of Finance Office staff.
  • Coordinate and manage Internal and External Audit requirements, including the timely provision of supporting documentation, schedules, reconciliations, and other requested financial information.

Your focus will include:
