Job summary

Subiaco Restoration, based in Osborne Park, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to work closely with the Directors in a hands-on role. The successful candidate will bring a Degree in Accounting, CA/CPA and 5+ years in a similar role, with strong system knowledge and the ability to hit the ground running in a busy environment.

You will be responsible for producing regular financial reports, managing AP/AR, payroll, end-of-month processes, tax compliance, and ad hoc analysis to support

Qualifications

• Requires a Degree in Accounting, Business or similar.
• CA/CPA qualification is preferred or required.
• 5+ years demonstrated experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Offer insights and recommendations on financial performance, opportunities and risks.
• Prepare and deliver regular financial performance reports and budgets to Directors.
• AP/AR, reconciliations and payroll functions.
• End-of-month reporting and journals; prepare Profit and Loss Statements; assist with tax compliance and reporting.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as directed by the Directors.

Based in Osborne Park, Subiaco Restoration is a family-owned and operated business with over 40 years’ experience within the building industry. They are a supplier and retailer of architectural building products including timber, hardware and heating to both the trade and retail markets.

The Position:

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Management Accountant with good technical skills and an affinity for systems, where you’ll be the heart of our financial operations working with the Directors in this hands-on role.

• Offer insights and recommendations on potential business opportunities, risks, and performance improvement initiatives
• Prepare and deliver regular financial performance reports and budgets to the Directors
• AP/AR
• Reconciliations
• Payroll
• End-of-month reporting and journals
• Profit and Loss Statements
• Tax compliance
• Analysis and Reporting
• Other ad hoc tasks as directed by the Directors

What you’ll need to succeed

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Degree in Accounting, Business or similar, CA/CPA and 5+ years demonstrated experience in a similar role.

We are seeking someone who is a team player but can work autonomously. As the business grows there will be a need to move to a new accounting system and there is a need for someone with sound system knowledge. Good communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and willing to hit the ground running in this busy role supporting the Directors.
