Job summary

Tasty One Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in West Footscray. This role supports accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting and financial analysis to strengthen controls and improve reporting processes.

You will collaborate with management and operations to maintain reliable financial information and contribute to informed business decisions. The position requires a bachelor's degree and at least one year of accounting experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• At least 1 year of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting, financial reporting and taxation requirements.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software such as Xero/MYOB.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, management accounts and financial reports for management and other stakeholders.
• Develop, review and maintain accounting policies, procedures, budgets and reporting processes.
• Analyze financial transactions, investigate discrepancies and provide recommendations to management.
• Monitor operating costs, revenue, cash flow and expenditure, identifying variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Review financial records and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements.
• Assist with financial planning, taxation matters and assessing the financial implications of business decisions.
• Prepare BAS, tax-related documentation and other statutory lodgements, liaising with external advisers.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgets and financial analysis to support operational planning.
• Maintain accounting systems and identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
• Maintain effective internal controls, reconciliations and supporting documentation to protect data integrity.

Key responsibilities

About you

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with management and operational teams.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
