JAMI AUTO PARTS in Laverton North is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, BAS lodgement, payroll obligations and financial reporting.

You will work with external advisers and government authorities, maintain records, and ensure compliance with Australian taxation; MYOB proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting or similar role.
• At least a Diploma of Accounting or equivalent qualification
• Good working knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation requirements
• Practical knowledge of superannuation, PAYG, BAS, payroll tax and land tax
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience using MYOB
• Good understanding of GST, general ledger, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, taxation compliance, payroll-related obligations, financial reporting and liaising with external advisers and government authorities. This role would suit someone who has strong attention to detail, understands Australian accounting and taxation requirements, and is confident working independently.
