Recruitmark is partnering with a well-established Australian steel fabrication company to appoint a Management Accountant. You will deliver financial reporting, project profitability analysis and budgeting across the organisation, driving commercial insights and supporting decision-making.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Management Accountant or similar commercial finance role within a medium-to-large organisation.
• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Exposure to the agricultural industry highly regarded.
• Strong end-to-end job costing experience.
• Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems with process automation

Responsibilities

• Overseeing end-to-end job costing, from job set-up and invoicing to variation management and margin analysis
• Preparing monthly management accounts and analysing performance against budget and forecast
• Driving month-end revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations and WIP/cost variance reporting
• Partnering with Sales, Project Management and Operations to improve project profitability and pricing outcomes
• Managing Accounts Receivable and fixed assets
• Supporting annual budgeting, forecasting and year-end reporting processes

About the Role:

Reporting to the CFO, the Management Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, project and job profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance insights across the organisation.
