Job summary

Core Electronics in Newcastle, NSW seeks a Creative Technologist for Maker Education. You’ll explore new tech, build demonstrations, and explain how it works so home crafters can follow along via guides, videos, or hands-on workshops.

You’ll test and craft projects like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, CNC demos, write clear guides with wiring and photos, and present on camera. You’ll run workshops at Makerverse and deliver virtual sessions for remote learners in Australia.

Qualifications

• You've built real projects with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Pico or similar.
• Able to explain a technical idea clearly in writing and speaking.
• Comfortable in Python, with C/C++ or MicroPython, in a Linux terminal.
• Patient with beginners and able to teach across a bench.
• Curious, self-directed, and eager to learn new tech every fortnight.

Responsibilities

• Research and hands-on testing of new products and technologies.
• Build working demos and write clear guides with wiring and photos.
• Present on camera and run workshops at Makerverse and online.
• Read community feedback and fold it into new guides.
