Job summary

CITS is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead the Major & Capital Projects Infrastructure portfolio in Western Australia. You will drive strategy, governance and delivery across high-value infrastructure, collaborating with government, industry and stakeholders to shape outcomes for communities.

This permanent full-time role (75hrs p/f) is based in Leederville, with flexible options and wellbeing benefits.

The Major & Capital Projects team leads the development of high-quality infrastructure across Western Australia, from modern sporting complexes to world-class creative industries venues. These projects enhance community access to state-of-the-art facilities, support local talent, and contribute towards shaping a vibrant and connected future for our state. Working closely with creative industries, state sporting organisations, local governments, and key stakeholders across government and industry, you will influence projects at every stage – from early planning and feasibility through to delivery and transition to operations.

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to provide strategic insight, leadership and direction across the Major & Capital Projects Infrastructure portfolio of projects. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the portfolio business services function, ensuring high team performance and alignment with strategic priorities and operational objectives.

You will build strong strategic relationships and champion best-practice project management frameworks, ensuring effective governance, budget, risk, assurance and compliance practices across infrastructure projects. A key focus will be driving continuous improvement and capability uplift, strengthening processes, systems and practices to improve project and program management maturity and delivery outcomes.

We are looking for a strategic, collaborative and outcomes-focused leader with strong portfolio or project management experience, excellent stakeholder skills and a proven ability to drive improvement in complex infrastructure, construction, or government environments. The Major & Capital Projects team is a high-performing, collaborative team that genuinely supports one another.
