Job summary

Farmfresh Fine Foods, based in Bundaberg, Queensland, seeks a Maintenance Tradesperson to keep our factory running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. You will start up and shut down the Gas Fired Boiler, perform welding and fitting tasks, and conduct routine maintenance and checks.

Applicants should hold trade qualifications as a Fitter/Mechanic, have a manual C Class license, and ideally a forklift license, with a strong eye for detail and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified as a Fitter/Mechanic.
• Restricted Electrical License (highly advantageous).
• Manual C Class License.
• Forklift license desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and shutdown procedures for the Gas Fired Boiler.
• Carry out basic welding and fitting work.

• Manage and maintain factory dicing equipment.
• Conduct pre-operational and preparation checks.

The Opportunity

As a Maintenance Tradesperson, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our factory by performing maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on position that requires excellent organisational and time-management skills to successfully:

• Perform start-up and shutdown procedures for the Gas Fired Boiler
• Carry out basic welding and fitting work
• Perform routine maintenance
• Manage and maintain factory dicing equipment
• Conduct pre-operational and preparation checks to ensure smooth factory operations
• Ensure compliance with safety standards & regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualified as a Fitter/Mechanic
• Hold a Restricted Electrical License (highly advantageous)
• Possess a Manual C Class License
• Demonstrate strong written and numeracy skills
• A self-starter with a keen eye for detail
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar environment is a plus
• A ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to help out wherever needed
• A current forklift license or willingness to obtain one
