Mploy HR Group Pty Ltd – Campbellfield is partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer that produces plastic packaging solutions. We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter for a Monday-to-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM shift based in Campbellfield.

This casual role offers potential progression to a permanent full-time position after qualifying hours and performance. You'll perform preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance on plastic blow moulding and injection moulding equipment,

Formación

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1–2 years' maintenance fitting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in maintaining industrial production machinery.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Service and replace mechanical components, including bearings, gearboxes, motors, and conveyors.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, and equipment adjustments.
• Inspect machinery and recommend reliability improvements.
• Respond promptly to production breakdowns.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Work safely in line with site procedures and food manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
• Participate in toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.

OUR CLIENT

We are partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer based in Campbellfield that produces plastic packaging solutions.

The Role

This is a Monday-to-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM role based in Campbellfield. You'll be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance on plastic blow moulding and injection moulding equipment, ensuring production runs efficiently. The position commences on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent full-time role upon successful performance and completion of qualifying hours.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance.

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

Service and replace mechanical components, including bearings, gearboxes, motors, and conveyors.

Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, and equipment adjustments.

Inspect machinery and recommend reliability improvements.

Respond promptly to production breakdowns.

Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.

Work safely in line with site procedures and food manufacturing standards.

What We\'re Looking For

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).

Minimum 1–2 years' maintenance fitting experience in manufacturing.

Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

Experience in maintaining industrial production machinery.

Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with plastic blow moulding or injection moulding machinery
• Pneumatic and hydraulic system experience
• Exposure to robotic or automated production equipment
• MIG, TIG, or Arc welding skills
• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging environments
