We are a family-owned business that has provided long-term residential accommodation in an established cabin park community for over 40 years. We take pride in providing a safe and well-maintained environment for our residents to call home, and are investing in new cabins and improvements across the park.

This is a full-time role, working 38 hours per week on weekdays, with flexibility around start and finish times.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and paint cabin interiors and exteriors, with care and attention to the finished result.

  • Carry out routine pool testing, dosing and cleaning after training.

  • Undertake groundskeeping, including weed spraying, mulching, street sweeping and green-waste removal.

  • Read utility meters, move furniture with assistance, and help with basic furniture assembly and cabin preparation.

  • Carry out gutter cleaning using suitable access equipment and safe work methods.

  • Undertake minor cabin maintenance and repairs from time to time, with on-the-job training provided.

  • Pressure wash the exterior of cabins.

  • Cleaning work including vacant cabins to prepare them for reoccupation;

  • Daily cleaning of the laundry, pool toilet and common areas; keep bin areas, the maintenance shed and yard tidy.

  • Provide labouring assistance for site preparation, construction of decks, verandas, pathways and other development work under the maintenance team's direction.

About you

  • You are dependable, take care with your work and are comfortable with both cleaning and outdoor physical tasks.

  • You can follow instructions, work independently on routine jobs and cooperate with a small team.

  • You communicate respectfully with residents, staff and contractors and report problems when you find them.

  • Practical experience in interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, is preferred.

  • Experience in grounds work, property upkeep or labouring would be useful.

  • A trade qualification in carpentry or practical experience in carpentry would be advantageous but is not essential.
