Job summary

Australian Community Villages is seeking a reliable Site Caretaker to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Bass Hill village community in Sydney. You will manage onsite staff and contractors, coordinate maintenance, and support resident engagement to ensure a safe, well‑presented, compliant village environment.

This hands‑on role requires a proactive approach, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in site, property, accommodation, facilities or village management.
• Strong maintenance and gardening skills.
• Hands-on and proactive approach to work.
• Strong communication and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong understanding of safety and compliance responsibilities.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations of the village.
• Overseeing onsite staff, contractors, and service providers.
• Coordinating maintenance, repairs, gardening, and site presentation.
• Supporting reception and front office operations.
• Managing resident concerns and fostering a positive community environment.
• Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements and the Residential (Land Lease) Communities Act.
• Conducting regular inspections and maintaining site standards.
• Assisting with administrative and operational reporting duties.

Australian Community Villages is seeking a reliable, hands‑on, and motivated Site Caretaker to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Bass Hill village community.

This is a diverse role suited to someone who enjoys a mix of operations management, maintenance, resident engagement, and practical hands‑on work. You will play a key role in ensuring the village is safe, well maintained, compliant, and operating efficiently.
