Komatsu Australia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the site maintenance team at Batchfire Callide Mine. This hands-on leadership role focuses on safety, quality, and getting the best from a crew working with heavy mining equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance teams in mining or heavy equipment environments.
• Safety and environmental standards are mandatory.
• Mechanical and/or HV electrical trade qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of heavy mining equipment is essential.
• Prior experience with Komatsu mining gear is advantageous.
• Supervisory/Management qualifications (S123, G2) are required.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, parts manuals, and schematics.
• Ability to work autonomously and make on-site decisions.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily supervision of maintenance teams and subcontractors, ensuring safe, planned and efficient work.
• Drive safety culture with Take 5s, audits, site compliance, and crew leadership.
• Ensure work meets Komatsu quality standards and is properly documented.
• Allocate daily work with ready access to technical information and resources.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities on site.
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to the team.
• Manage customer expectations and communicate maintenance updates clearly.
• Review shift logs, PM clinics and REMAN documentation for improvements.
• Collaborate with planners, technicians, and subcontractors to optimize operations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the operation.
