Job summary

Aveo is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Bella Vista Haven, a vibrant, resort-style retirement community in Sydney's Hills District. You will manage day-to-day maintenance, coordinate contractors, and ensure grounds and facilities meet high standards while building positive relationships with residents.

This full-time role is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, ideal for someone with hands-on trade experience who thrives in a proactive, people-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a general maintenance or trade-based role.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to issues.
• Ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and take action.
• Clear, resident-friendly communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Aveo Facilities team and contractors to complete external works to high standard.
• Regularly inspect the village to rectify maintenance defects.
• Perform small plumbing maintenance (replacing taps and washers).
• Support upkeep of external assets like lighting and sprinkler systems.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance across the community.
• Manage community tools and equipment ensuring safety and organization.
• Prepare and program access swipes for residents/family members.
• Record maintenance activities, notes and job updates.
• Be a friendly, approachable presence for residents and work with a supportive team.

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be working closely alongside the residents and fellow staff, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks around our retirement village. No two days are the same. From completing repairs and maintenance tasks to coordinating contractors and helping maintain our beautiful grounds and facilities, you'll be at the heart of creating an environment that residents are proud to call home. This role is perfect for someone with a trade background or strong maintenance experience who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and building positive relationships. This is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:00pm)

Your Impact

• Work with the Aveo Facilities team and contractors to ensure external works are attended to and completed to a high standard

Whatyou'llbring

• Experience in a general maintenance or trade-based role, including hands-on handyperson tasks
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and take action
• An understanding of maintenance cycles and the expected lifespan of equipment and village assets
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain maintenance works in a resident-friendly way
• Great attention to detail
• A positive, approachable attitude and a strong sense of pride in your work
• A valid driver's licence (essential)
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
