Job summary

Accor is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Mantra Towers of Chevron in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. You will lead the maintenance team to ensure facilities and equipment run smoothly, while forging strong partnerships across departments to address challenges and enhance guest experience.

Role requires flexible shifts, including weekends/public holidays, and a proactive approach to safety and WHS compliance, with focus on preventative maintenance and cost-aware operations.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance leadership in a strata / MLR operation.
• Ability to lead a maintenance team and manage resources.
• Strong financial understanding to manage a profitable operation.
• Familiarity with WHS legislation compliance.
• Flexible to shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Partner with departments on site to tackle challenges.
• Be on-call for emergency maintenance after hours.

Job description

Situated in the heart of Surfers Paradise you will find Mantra Towers of Chevron. The property is comprised of three towers, offering one, two and three bedroom self-contained apartments in addition to a three-bedroom sub-penthouse and expansive pools for guests to relax in under the Gold Coast sky. On your days off, be a tourist and visit the Gold Coast’s iconic theme parks, bask in the sunshine on the beach, or go exploring along the hinterland trails, you will never be short of things to discover on the Gold Coast!

Purpose

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind keeping our equipment and facilities running like a well-oiled machine. Leading the Maintenance Team, you will skilfully manage resources and employ your expertise to consistently achieve top-notch performance and safety standards day in and day out.

Primary Responsibilities

Ignite the Maintenance Team's motivation and inspiration, keeping the property humming with efficiency

Forge strong partnerships with all departments on property to tackle challenges together

Be the hero on call for emergency maintenance even beyond regular hours – handling power failures, fire system resets, and mechanical meltdowns

Effective communication at all levels, from the General Manager, to guests and contractors working onsite

Skills and Experience

A natural leader with previous property maintenance experience within a strata / MLR operation (desired)

The ability to be a team player with a flexible approach to leading the Maintenance Team

Confident in comprehensive financial understanding of managing a profitable operation, and familiarity with WHS legislation compliance

A multitasking champion with an initiative-taking spirit, skilled in juggling multiple tasks and projects while keeping that preventative maintenance schedule in tip-top shape

Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
