About One Harvest

We’re driven by innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement, and we offer meaningful work in a fast paced, purpose led environment where safety, quality and care come first.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Project Manager to deliver the maintenance and capital projects that improve productivity, reliability, quality and safety across our 4 national operations.

Reporting to the National Manager Reliability, this role manages projects from scoping through to handover to operations. You’ll help build business cases and capital requests, select equipment, coordinate installation and commissioning, and make sure every project is delivered safely, on time and on budget. You’ll also help make sure new equipment and facilities are designed to be easy to maintain, reliable and safe from day one.

This is a national role. You’ll work closely with site managers, Reliability teams, operations, technical, IT, procurement, vendors and contractors to deliver solutions that meet the business’s needs now and in the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage maintenance and capital projects end to end, including scoping, budgeting, design, installation, commissioning and handover to operations.
  • Develop detailed project plans covering timelines, resources and milestones, and keep disruption to operations as low as possible.
  • Help prepare business cases, capital requests and options analysis, including lifecycle cost and return on investment.
  • Document equipment requirements and set selection criteria with site teams and subject matter experts.
  • Make sure new equipment and facilities are designed to be easy to maintain, reliable, safe and sustainable.
  • Coordinate vendors, consultants and contractors so work is delivered safely, on schedule and to standard.
  • Track project risks, issues and budgets, and give clear monthly updates on project status and progress.
  • Support the development of site master plans and the 5 year capital plan for each site.
  • Make sure safe work method statements, non routine work and contractor management meet our safety standards.
  • Look for improvements that lift throughput, reduce waste and cut energy use.
About You

You’re an organised, hands on project manager who enjoys turning business needs into practical engineering solutions. You’re comfortable leading a project from first idea to handover, and you keep things moving when priorities compete.

You build strong relationships with site teams, technical experts and suppliers, and you can explain technical ideas clearly to people without a technical background. You care about safety, reliability and delivering real value for the business.

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering, or a trade qualification with significant project experience.
  • At least 3 years managing maintenance, engineering or capital projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience delivering projects through installation, commissioning and handover.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules and contractors.
  • Ability to prepare business cases and do basic financial analysis, including return on investment.
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel interstate.
  • Project management certification.
  • FMCG, food manufacturing or short shelf life supply chain experience.
  • Experience with equipment selection and specification.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and WHS requirements in a food environment.
  • Experience using machine data to improve performance.
  • Exposure to asset lifecycle planning and site master planning.
