ElectraNet builds, owns, operates and maintains South Australia's high voltage electricity transmission network—connecting generators to distributors and major customers, and powering homes, businesses and communities.

About ElectraNet

ElectraNet builds, owns, operates and maintains South Australia's high voltage electricity transmission network—connecting generators to distributors and major customers, and powering homes, businesses and communities.

Our people describe our culture as supportive, inclusive and community-focused, where we genuinely want each other to succeed. As we lead the transition to a clean energy future, we're committed to delivering innovative solutions that enable smarter asset management and stronger network performance.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your planning and scheduling expertise to some of South Australia's most critical infrastructure. As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability and long-term performance of ElectraNet's transmission network assets.

Working closely with Asset Management, Maintenance Project Managers, service providers and operational stakeholders, you will develop and coordinate maintenance and outage plans that optimise asset performance while balancing network risk, resource availability and operational requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic maintenance outcomes across a diverse portfolio of high-voltage substations and transmission assets while supporting South Australia's energy transition and network reliability objectives.

In This Role You Will
  • Develop and maintain rolling maintenance plans to optimise asset performance and lifecycle outcomes.
  • Coordinate routine, corrective and strategic maintenance activities across the transmission network.
  • Partner with Asset Management to align maintenance activities with asset strategies and business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance project schedules and work package plans.
  • Manage maintenance forecasts and planning data to support informed operational decision-making.
  • Develop and coordinate 13-month rolling outage plans and contribute to longer‑term outage strategies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance service providers and contractors to optimise delivery schedules and identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Produce reporting and analysis that supports network reliability, risk management and maintenance optimisation.
About You

You are an experienced planning professional who understands the challenges of operating and maintaining critical infrastructure in an asset‑intensive environment. You are proactive, analytical and solutions‑focused, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and coordinate complex work programs across multiple stakeholders.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring
  • Approximately 5 to 7 years of experience in Maintenance Planning, Planning & Scheduling, or a similar role within an asset‑intensive industry.
  • Experience developing maintenance plans, work schedules and outage programs for complex operational environments.
  • Demonstrated capability to analyse complex data sets and develop meaningful insights using Excel and similar analytical platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP PM or similar enterprise maintenance systems.
  • Strong analytical, investigation and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience managing competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance planning processes and efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of high‑voltage substations, transmission systems, electrical infrastructure, utilities, energy generation or other critical infrastructure environments will be highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
