Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Multi Trade Operative to support maintenance across student accommodation buildings in London. You will perform a range of repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety-compliant tasks, ensuring properties remain functional and safe for occupants.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Electrical, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work independently with flexibility for on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Electrical is essential.
• Additional trade qualifications would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
• Competent in the safe use of tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours and participation in the on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance across student accommodation properties.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works.
• Diagnose and rectify building defects and maintenance issues.
• Complete electrical and general multi-trade maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety legislation.
• Conduct dynamic risk assessments before undertaking work.
• Maintain accurate records through digital job management systems.
• Identify and report additional maintenance requirements.
• Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service at all times.
• Ensure properties remain safe, secure, warm and fully operational.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading student accommodation provider for a skilled Multi Trade Operative to support the maintenance and upkeep of student residential properties across London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy facilities team, carrying out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks within occupied student accommodation buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance across student accommodation properties.

• Additional trade qualifications (plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, etc.) would be advantageous.
