Job summary

Millennium Hi-Tech Group is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician for a part-time position in Melbourne. You will perform maintenance on commercial and retail facilities, focusing on safety, functionality, and cleanliness, with a roster of Monday to Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities include inspections and repairs across lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, plus coordinating with contractors when needed and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general building maintenance or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Respond to maintenance requests and service calls promptly and professionally.
• Conduct minor repairs such as patching walls, replacing fixtures, and adjusting doors or locks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of mechanical rooms, storage areas, and common spaces.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or inspections when needed.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, materials used, and time spent on tasks.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependableFacilities Maintenance Technicianto join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of commercial and retail facilities. This is a hands‑on position ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working independently, and maintaining high standards of building care.

Employment Type - Part time

Roster: Monday to Wednesday - 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in general building maintenance or a related field.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if travel between sites is required).
