Job summary

Wills Consultants Ltd is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a highly automated warehouse operation in Northampton. You will maintain and improve a fast-paced materials handling environment, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised. Shifts run Monday to Friday with two rotation options.

The role focuses on fault diagnosis, proactive maintenance, strong customer collaboration and delivering reliable system performance in a demanding warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on automated materials handling equipment
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and rectify faults, while identifying and implementing long-term solutions to prevent reoccurrence
• Accurately record all maintenance activities in line with agreed processes and procedures
• Build strong working relationships with the customer, supporting day-to-day operational activities
• Investigate equipment issues, identify root causes and work proactively with the operations team to minimise disruption
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute ideas to enhance system performance and reliability
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
