Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Maintenance Officer for our Residential Aged Care facility in Marsfield. You will perform general maintenance, basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds care, plus drive residents on outings.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Person in Residential Aged Care is preferred.
• Current NSW driver's license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across our aged care and retirement living community, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
• Maintain attractive and safe outdoor areas through lawn mowing, hedging, gardening, and general grounds maintenance.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance to keep our buildings, equipment, and assets in excellent condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve repairs efficiently.
• Help ensure our facilities meet safety and regulatory standards while contributing to a positive Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture.
• Bus driver duties: Safely transport residents to outings and activities, ensuring vehicle safety and maintenance, accurate records, and assisting residents and staff during outings.

We are seeking a Permanent Part-Time (60 Hours a fortnight) Maintenance Officer to join our Residential Aged Care facility in Marsfield. Bus driver duties included in the role.

• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Experience as a Maintenance Person in Residential Aged Care (preferred)
• Previousexperiencein either building, fitter and turner, welderor plumber (desirable)
