Job summary

Campus Living Villages Australia is seeking a friendly and practical facilities all‑rounder to support day‑to‑day maintenance across our student villages in Sydney. You will perform basic plumbing and carpentry tasks, assist with inspections, and help coordinate service providers.

If you have a hands-on mindset, enjoy working with people, and hold a current police clearance and driver's license, you will fit in well.

Qualifications

• Experience in general facilities maintenance or repairs.
• Friendly and able to interact with residents and staff.
• Comfortable with physically demanding tasks.
• Demonstrated initiative in solving problems.
• OH&S or safety mindset; related qualification valued.
• Current National Police Clearance and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day maintenance to keep village facilities in good order.
• Complete quarterly inspections of resident apartments to standards.
• Coordinate suppliers and contractors to deliver services safely and to spec.
• Promote and follow safety procedures to keep residents and staff safe.
• Adapt to evolving needs of residents and the business.

Reporting through the Facilities Team, we are looking for a friendly, reliable, practical all-rounder with a safety mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision of day-to-day maintenance services, to ensure all village facilities remain in good order e.g. basic plumbing and carpentry, moving items such as fridges, mattresses
• Conduct quarterly inspections of resident’s apartments to ensure that they are maintained to appropriate standard
• Assist Facilities Manager in coordinating suppliers and contractors to ensure services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with agreed requirements
• Follow and promote safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
• The responsibilities of this role may evolve based on the changing needs of our residents and the business. We seek candidates who are adaptable and open to taking on new challenges as they arise.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualification

• Experience in general facilities and maintenance / repairs

• OH&S, Risk or Safety mindset (related qualification would be highly regarded)
• Current National Police Clearance Check and Driver's license
