Job summary

Regis Aged Care in Queensland is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer to keep facilities safe, clean and well‑functioning for residents and staff. You’ll perform day‑to‑day maintenance, preventive and reactive repairs, manage work orders and coordinate with contractors.

Ideal candidates have practical building and repair skills, strong safety awareness, and good communication abilities. This role offers full-time hours, supportive team culture and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in general maintenance or a similar role.
• Practical skills across building, repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to manage priorities, work orders and respond to issues promptly.
• Understanding of safety, compliance and safe work practices.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs to keep facilities safe and functional.
• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Manage work orders and coordinate with contractors.
• Ensure the environment remains safe, tidy and comfortable for residents, staff and visitors.

About the Role

Keep the home safe, well - maintained and running smoothly through day - to - day maintenance and repairs. You’ll carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, manage work orders and contractors, and ensure the environment remains safe, tidy and comfortable for residents, staff and visitors. You’ll also play an important role in supporting a positive resident experience.
