Job summary

Bolton Clarke in Bundaberg is seeking a Maintenance Officer to perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and garden upkeep across our aged care facility and retirement village. You will coordinate with customers and external contractors to ensure high standards of presentation and safety.

Responsibilities include regular facility inspections, addressing maintenance needs (plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep), and ensuring compliance with Australian standards and OHS principles while

Qualifications

• Moderate experience as a Maintenance Officer.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety and health.
• Proficient in facilities maintenance and plant operations.
• Familiar with OHS standards and maintenance equipment management.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertakes general building maintenance, repairs tasks such as installing doors, shelves/cupboards, designing garden layouts, etc., and ensures work meet relevant trade and Australian standards.
• Maintains cleanliness, functionality and orderly presentation of gardens and common areas across Bolton Clarke Aged Care Facility or Retirement Village.
• Communicates with customers to ensure that maintenance and gardening services meet their expectations and addresses issues that could affect their well-being.
• Conducts regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs, including plumbing, electrical, and general building upkeep.
