Put your tools to work for a good cause. If you’re a tradie or handy person who takes pride in a job well done and wants your work to mean something, we’d like to hear from you. At Uniting Country SA (UCSA), our maintenance crew keeps our sites and properties in good nick, including homes managed by Uniting Country Housing.
We care for country people across regional South Australia. Our services support people and families through residential and foster care, disability services, homelessness support, domestic and family violence services, financial wellbeing and emergency relief and many more social and community services.
We’re looking for another practical, reliable person to join the team as a Maintenance Officer. You’ll get stuck into a mix of repairs, preventative maintenance and property jobs across UCSA sites, work that directly helps keep safe, well-maintained places for people in our communities who need them most.
Working with the Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll help get jobs done safely, properly and on time. We’re after someone who can turn their hand to different maintenance tasks, takes pride in their workmanship and understands the importance of working safely.
You’ll also help deliver maintenance projects within agreed timeframes and budgets, while meeting the relevant safety, legal and contractual requirements.
A carpentry trade certificate would be well regarded, but practical skills and solid experience count too.
You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.
All offers of employment are subject to the screening and assessment requirements of the Children and Young People (safety) Act 2017 and any other legislation that interacts with it.
Curious about our culture and how we include everyone? We invite you to ask questions and, if needed, request adjustments or support at any stage of the recruitment process. This invitation is for all applicants and includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability and/or neurodivergence, people from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds, those experiencing language or communication barriers, and people of diverse sexualities and gender identities.
