Job summary

Mulgrave Private Hospital in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our 246-bed acute medical and surgical facility. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with an on-call roster for after-hours maintenance issues.

You will perform general maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs to ensure safe, efficient operations. You must hold a trade certificate in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical or Carpentry, have a current driver's license, and provide Working with Children

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical or Carpentry.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Current valid Driver's license and on-call flexibility.
• Working with Children Check and Police Check are required.

Responsibilities

• Complete general maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out site inspections and minor repairs to fixtures and fittings.
• Report to the Facility Manager and assist with on-call emergencies.
• Assist with other duties as required.

We arean acute medical and surgical hospital with 246 beds, conveniently located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne easily accessible via the Monash Freeway and East Link.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team and expand their experience and development.

About the role

The Maintenance Officer is a full time role working Monday to Friday and will be required to share an on call roster with the Facilities Manager for urgent maintenance issues after hours.

What you'll be doing:

• Complete general maintenance and general repairs
• Carry out site inspections, minor repairs to fixtures and fittings
• Assist with other duties when necessary
• Reporting to the Facility Manager
• Assist with Emergency Code response as relevant to role

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Provide excellent customer service, communication and have a great attitude
• A trade certificate in either Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical or Carpentry
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Current valid Driver's license
• The successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of a current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
