Job summary

Yorke and Northern Local Health Network is seeking a Maintenance Officer to keep facilities safe, reliable and efficient. You will maintain plant and equipment and assist with repairs throughout the site, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations that govern the healthcare service.

The role involves contributing to risk management, accreditation processes and a safe working environment, with occasional on-call duties and a casual contract up to 3 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or significant maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of chemical safety, infection control and WHS.
• Experience across building, grounds, plant and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Respectful communication with diverse backgrounds.
• Good computer literacy and administrative skills.
• Availability to work occasional out-of-hours shifts.

• Salary: OPS3 - $37.87 to $40.23 per hour + 25% casual loading + super + salary sacrifice
• Employment: Casual Contract (up to 3 August 2027)
• Location: Yorke and Mid North

As a Maintenance Officer, you'll ensure our health service runs like clockwork, using your expertise to keep facilities safe, reliable and efficient. From maintaining essential plant and equipment to conducting repairs throughout our facility, you'll play a crucial role in creating a safe, efficient environment for both staff and patients. You'll also help us stay compliant with all the important standards and regulations that keep our healthcare service running safely.
