Job summary

Pacific Fresh in Leeton, NSW is seeking a practical Maintenance Officer to help keep our facility, machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Officer, you will cover preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.

This hands-on role involves repairs, improvements and basic welding, with shifts across day, afternoon or night as needed, and a focus on WHS, food safety and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering (Fitter & Machining or Metal Fabrication).
• Broad practical experience across mechanical repairs, welding, plumbing, concreting or painting.
• Experience with MIG, TIG and manual arc welding, plasma cutting and gas cutting.
• Knowledge of conveyors, chains, sprockets and bearing setups.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, lathes and mill operations.
• Basic understanding of electrical automation.
• Basic computer skills and confidence completing maintenance records.
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely, independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative, scheduled and reactive maintenance.
• Identify faults and respond quickly to production breakdowns.
• Inspect machinery, equipment and site facilities.
• Complete repairs, upgrades and improvement work.
• Perform welding, fabrication and general mechanical tasks.
• Maintain accurate records in the site maintenance system.
• Keep the workshop, tools and equipment clean, organised and safe.
• Work closely with production teams, contractors and site management.
• Ensure work meets WHS, food safety, quality and GMP requirements.
• Participate in training, toolbox talks and site meetings.

Pacific Fresh is looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team in Leeton. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Officer, you will help keep our facility, machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering preventative and reactive maintenance, minor repairs, equipment improvements and general site maintenance.

About the role

No two shifts will be the same. You will need to adapt to changing priorities, respond to operational issues and move between maintenance activities across the site. Availability across day, afternoon and night shifts may be required, depending on operational needs.
