Job summary

Estia Health Dalmeny is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to keep our aged care home in top condition. You’ll work inside and outside, support residents’ needs, and help coordinate the maintenance program.

With a collaborative team, attention to detail and practical handyman skills, you’ll contribute to a welcoming, safe environment. Training and benefits are provided. Join a supportive community focused on enriching residents’ lives.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance tasks around aged care or similar environments.
• Strong attention to detail and safe work practices.
• Able to coordinate basic maintenance schedules with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Keep the home clean, well-maintained and welcoming for residents.
• Support maintenance tasks both indoors and outdoors and assist residents as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and coordinate with the team.

In This Busy Role You'll

• Use your can-do, collaborative approach to ensure the presentation of the home is of the highest standard.
• Enjoy the variety of working both inside and outside, the challenge of a multitude of different tasks and the opportunity of getting to know residents as you support them with their maintenance requirements.
• Have good attention to detail, the ability to co-ordinate the maintenance program and excellent record keeping in this interesting role where your general handy skills are highly valued.
