Job summary

Glencore's Collinsville Open Cut in North Queensland is seeking experienced fitters and auto-electricians to join a permanent full-time team. The role involves maintaining and repairing Caterpillar and Komatsu mining machinery, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, and working a 7/7 day-night rotating roster with camp accommodation and meals provided.

Ideal candidates will hold relevant trade qualifications, demonstrate strong communication skills, and show a commitment to safe work practices

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications as Plant Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or Auto Electrician for heavy mining equipment.
• Experience with Caterpillar and Komatsu mining machinery desirable.
• Strong communication, stakeholder liaison and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Maintenance Supervisor and join a dynamic team of tradespeople.
• Maintain and repair Caterpillar and Komatsu mining equipment on site.
• Work autonomously and as part of a team, adhering to risk management standards.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking multiple experienced and competent fitters and auto-electricians to join our dynamic team.

About You:

• Relevant trade qualifications – Plant Mechanic / Diesel Fitters and Heavy Mobile Equipment Auto Electricians.
• Knowledge and experience on Caterpillar and Komatsu large mining machinery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to risk management and safe work practices.
• Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
