Job summary

Coles Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the Chef Fresh NSW maintenance teams at Banksmeadow. You will oversee engineering staff and contractors across a high-volume, 24/7 food manufacturing operation, focusing on uptime, safety and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, CMMS experience, and knowledge of GMP/HACCP. You will partner with production, quality and safety teams to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering and maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering trade qualification with frontline leadership experience.
• Strong maintenance management experience in high-volume production.
• Experience with CMMS platforms such as MEX, Maximo or SAP.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food safety principles.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering maintenance teams at Chef Fresh NSW.

You will lead Shift Supervisors, Engineering team members and Contractors across a fast-paced, 24/7 food manufacturing operation. You will focus on building team capability, improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and driving safe, efficient maintenance practices.

You’ll oversee maintenance planning and performance, engineering team members, contractors, site and Engineering specific KPIs along with continuous improvement initiatives, partnering closely with the production, warehouse, quality and safety teams.

About you and your skills

• Proven experience leading engineering and maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering trade qualification, along with frontline leadership experience
• Strong maintenance management experience within a high-volume production environment
• Experience with CMMS platforms such as MEX, Maximo or SAP
• Knowledge of automated processing and/or packaging equipment
• Experience with continuous improvement, root cause analysis and equipment reliability
• Strong understanding of LOTO, permit-to-work and other safety systems
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food safety principles
• Strong commercial, communication and problem-solving skills
