Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment – Smithfield NSW is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a Western Sydney site. You will drive plant reliability, safety, and continuous improvement while managing a team of trades and the maintenance budget.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong safety focus, and experience in chemical manufacturing environments, with CMMS exposure (MEX preferred). Monday–Friday day shifts are typical.

Qualifications

• Experience as Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Supervisor.
• Essential: chemical manufacturing / hazardous environment experience.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent trade experience.
• CMMS experience (MEX highly regarded)

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a small team of mechanical and electrical trades.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
• Manage contractors, spare parts, and maintenance budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and dangerous goods requirements.
• Maintain CMMS records (MEX preferred).
• Drive continuous improvement to minimise downtime.
