Job summary

PARKROYAL Parramatta is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring facilities, plant and equipment are kept to the highest standard. Reporting to the Cluster Chief Engineer, you will manage the Engineering team to deliver safe, efficient, and responsive maintenance services.

You will coordinate guest and departmental maintenance requests, drive preventative maintenance, oversee work allocations, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building services, plant maintenance and asset care.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Trade qualification or equivalent industry experience is valued.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. This role will report to the Cluster Chief Engineer and is responsible for managing & overseeing the Engineering department.

The successful candidate will:

Lead the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring all facilities, plant and equipment are maintained to the highest standard.

Lead, coach and develop the Engineering team to deliver safe, efficient and responsive maintenance services.

Coordinate and prioritise guest and departmental maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution and exceptional service delivery.

Drive preventative maintenance programs to maximise asset performance and minimise operational downtime.

Oversee daily work allocation and monitor maintenance activities to ensure quality, compliance and operational effectiveness.

Maintain accurate records relating to plant, equipment, statutory inspections and maintenance activities.

Partner with the Cluster Chief Engineer to deliver CAPEX projects, refurbishments and asset improvement initiatives.

Manage departmental operating expenses (OPEX) and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and continuous improvement.

Foster strong relationships with hotel departments, contractors and service providers to support business operations.

Champion energy conservation, sustainability initiatives and compliance with all relevant regulatory and brand standards.

Ideally you will have:

Demonstrated experience in a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Assistant Chief Engineer or similar leadership role.

Strong technical knowledge across building services, plant and equipment maintenance, contractor management and preventative maintenance programs.

Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

A trade qualification or equivalent industry experience in maintenance, engineering or facilities management will be highly regarded.

Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, and confidence using engineering and hotel management systems.
