Crystalbrook Flynn in Cairns seeks a proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee care, presentation and performance of our facilities. You will lead the onsite team, coordinate workloads and contractor support, and drive preventative maintenance to ensure reliable guest spaces.
You will monitor expenditure, contribute to budgets and energy-saving improvements while balancing safety and guest comfort. The role is permanent, full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional call-outs.

Fresh, fun and full of energy, Crystalbrook Flynn is a hotel that never stands still - where innovation, style and tropical city living come together.
A hotel with personality needs people who care about keeping it at its best. As our Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the care, presentation and performance of Crystalbrook Flynn, helping create welcoming spaces and reliable facilities that make every stay run smoothly.
Reporting to the Director, Assets & Facilities, you will lead and develop our onsite Maintenance Officers, coordinate workloads and bring a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and repairs. Working closely with hotel colleagues and the Area Technical Maintenance Team, you will organise contractors and specialist support, communicate priorities and step in with minor hands-on repairs where practical.
Alongside daily operations, you will monitor expenditure, contribute to budgets and capital works planning, and identify improvements that reduce energy use, minimise waste and extend the life of our assets. Your practical expertise and sound judgement will help balance safety, guest comfort and the needs of a busy hotel.
This permanent, full-time role offers a primarily Monday-to-Friday schedule, with flexibility to support operational needs and attend call-outs when required.
You are a practical, approachable maintenance leader who enjoys solving problems and helping people do their best work. You plan ahead, respond calmly when priorities change and communicate clearly with everyone from contractors to hotel leaders.
You take pride in a job done properly, know when to involve specialist expertise and understand the difference a well-maintained hotel makes to guests and colleagues alike.
At Crystalbrook Collection, you will work alongside exceptional people in a supportive, collaborative environment where individuality is celebrated and you are encouraged to contribute and grow.
