Job summary

Virgin Australia Airlines in Brisbane is seeking a Maintenance Leader to oversee safety, production, people and leadership at our Brisbane Jet base. The role is commercially focused as well as technically driven, aiming to deliver cost-effective aircraft maintenance services while upholding high safety and quality standards.

You will supervise and develop a team, coordinate resources and collaborate with Engineering to meet schedules, ensure compliance with CASA/EASA airworthiness rules, and

Qualifications

• Supervisory leadership experience in an airline/maintenance setting.
• Ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders across teams.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Solid understanding of CASA and EASA airworthiness requirements.
• Willingness to work Monday to Friday.
• Desirable LAME/AME qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safety first: champion a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Operational excellence: deliver production schedules on time and efficiently.
• Leadership: motivate and develop the team, onboarding new members and addressing performance.
• Quality assurance: monitor maintenance activity and documentation and drive error-prevention.
• Reporting and documentation: maintain timesheets and records per system requirements.
• Commercial focus: drive cost efficiencies without compromising safety and quality.
• Collaboration: partner with Engineering and other stakeholders to meet objectives.
