Job summary

Virgin Australia Brisbane Hangar seeks an experienced aviation engineering leader to steer the Mechanical Systems & Cabin team. You will guide airworthiness, configuration control and reliability of the fleet, driving innovation and continuous improvement with a focus on safe, efficient operations.

You’ll develop high‑performing teams, review engineering docs, ensure CASA compliance, and partner with stakeholders to deliver practical engineering solutions while shaping smarter ways of working.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain an aviation maintenance licence or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in aviation engineering with leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of airworthiness requirements and CASA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mechanical Systems & Cabin engineering team to ensure airworthiness and reliability.
• Oversee configuration control, engineering investigations and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement, safety and operational efficiency.
