Job summary

Lutheran Services’ Immanuel Gardens Aged Care in Buderim is seeking a proactive Maintenance Officer to maintain safety, functionality, and presentation of facilities. This hands-on role covers buildings, gardens, and grounds, with responsibilities from routine upkeep to supervising external contractors and admin tasks related to maintenance.

You will ensure compliance with safety procedures, support residents and staff by keeping common areas well-kept, and contribute to a welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial maintenance and groundskeeping within an aged care setting or similar environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules.
• A team player with a proactive attitude and customer service focus.
• Valid Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
• Valid open Queensland Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas
• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and external cleaning
• Identifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones
• Undertaking administrative tasks related to maintenance operations
• Managing external contractors and minor building projects
• Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly
• Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
